JOB TITLE

Job Description: You will be at the forefront of the fundraising process: Lead generation, outreach, relationship building, and closing fundraising deals. Responsible for using/incepting CRM tools to assist Paal in prospecting, communicating and cultivating potential Angel Investors/ HNWI’s (High Net-Worth Individuals). Develop an understanding of the startup fundraising process and consistently adapt to different situations and conversations. The associate will be directly reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer dealing with fundraising and other leadership members in Paal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing, researching, and qualifying relevant angel investors, HNWIs, family offices, and Pre- Seed VCs in the following spaces: materials, hardware, Blue Tech, Mobility, Sustainability, generalist.
  • Perform methodical outreach, including but not limited to: finding warm intros, utilizing LinkedIns, professional investor databases (such as Pitchbook, Crunchbase, etc.), and conduct follow up communication regularly.
  • Build, develop, and manage relationships with new and existing investors.
  • Present, promote, and convince investors and partners to set up meetings with and develop relationships with Paal.
  • Continuously track progress of investor sourcing, engagements, and relationships utilizing CRM software.
  • Provide reports of daily and weekly progress to CMO/ Team Lead.
  • Continuously improve through feedback and coaching with management and team to reach success in this role.
  • Take notes and adapt fundraising strategies tailored to specific targets.
  • Join calls with team members and investors as needed.
  • Attend in-person and virtual events.

Job Description: You will be assisting Paal with preparing contract and legal documentation. Tasks will range from research, handling/drafting legal, contractual, and sales documents, along with other miscellaneous paperworks. Responsible for analyzing and researching regulatory landscape changes in relevant legal and tax-related aspects for Paal. Negotiate contracts, team agreements, nondisclosure agreements, subcontracts, and staffing agreements with potential partners and customers. The associate will be directly reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and other leadership members in Paal.

Relevant Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Independent, detail-oriented, and a team player.
  • Familiar with principles of business and laws relevant to the manufacturing industry.
  • Ability to write reports or business correspondence.
  • Fluency in English, strong written communication and the ability to jump on calls is essential

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle paperwork, approvals and recommendations from legal counsel and CEO of Paal on any given number of legal matters.
  • Support all contract matters.
  • Draft contractual memoranda, partnership documents, sales documents, and letters.
  • Updating and keeping documentation in the prescribed format for government and commercial contracting requirements.
  • Conduct research on a variety of topics including but not limited to the regulatory landscape of Paal, employment law, and contract law.
  • Provide reports of daily and weekly progress to the CEO.

  • Assist in reviewing contracts to identify key provisions as a part of managing correct documentation.

Job Description: You will be at the forefront of the community development process of Paal: You’ll be responsible for growing and developing the Paal community of current & future customers, enthusiasts & supporters by driving an impactful physical & digital PR & media strategy and engaging in 1:1 dialog with the community across all touch points to assist in driving both awareness, marketing & sales of Paal watercrafts.

  • Experience (or at least in a Personal/Academic level) for producing social content (both text and graphic) first-hand with a strong visual eye.
  • Experience using design tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud & Canva, email service providers like Klaviyo, analytics tracking in Google Analytics, and digital tools such as Shopify, Slack, Zoom, and the full G-Suite.

Job Description: You will be responsible for daily bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivables, payroll, assistance with end-of-month close, grant reporting, audit preparation, and other related duties as assigned. The associate will work closely with and report to the CEO & Financial Advisors at Paal.

  • Past experience in Finance, Accounting and/or Controllership functions is a plus but not necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage annual and multi-year budgets that are adequate for the organization’s needs including preparation of periodic budget forecasts.
  • Prepare and maintain cash flow analyses.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows) and effectively convey analysis to CEO & Stakeholders at Paal.
  • Assist in preparing year-end books for audit.
  • Ensure operational compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations for any necessary entities.
  • Process vendor payments and check requests
  • Process employee reimbursements including managing employee credit card charges and reconcile credit card accounts.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts as assigned.
  • Respond to inquiries from Paal Leadership regarding budgets, deposits, disbursement, and grant reporting requests.
  • Assist in reconciling all balance sheet and income statement accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis as indicated by the monthly closing schedule.
  • Assist in processing payroll reporting payroll taxes & yearly taxes for Paal.
  • Perform relevant basic office management duties as requested.
